What started as a childhood dream from the passenger seat grew into a solid family business with a strong reputation in the transport industry. As children, Ferdinand (52) and Laurens (50) Peters would join their father in the truck, spending the entire six-week summer holiday together — the three of them and the dog in the cab. It was there that the foundation for their love of the driving profession was laid.

In 1991, Laurens took the first step toward entrepreneurship. With determination, hard work, and a clear vision, he purchased his first truck. On May 1, 1991, Peters Transport was officially founded in Stokkum. Two years later, Ferdinand joined the company, and together the brothers took over operations and clients, including the transport of cement and building materials.

What followed were years of steady growth, built on reliability, quality, and strong customer relationships. Today, Peters Transport operates a modern fleet, employs several dedicated drivers, and carries out dozens of transports every day. Our core activities focus on the transportation of recycling materials, such as waste paper, as well as various construction materials — sectors in which we have developed decades of expertise.

The greatest compliment? Many of our very first clients still rely on our services more than 25 years later.

The Next Generation

After 35 years, the next generation is ready to continue the family legacy. My name is Michael Peters (27), and I am proud to take over the reins. My ambition is clear: to further grow Peters Transport, continue investing in quality and innovation, while preserving the personal commitment that has made our company what it is today.
